Meet Dr. Morrish

Dr. Jim Morrish grew up in Bradenton and graduated from Manatee High School. His father was a well-known and highly respected cardiologist within the community. From his father, he learned the importance of providing superior care and treating every patient individually with different desires and concerns. As a legacy to his father, Dr. Morrish set out to create a practice environment in which each patient is treated as a member of the family. This was his philosophy when he opened the doors to Morrish Orthodontics in 1983, and it remains his philosophy today.

For optimal patient treatment, Dr. Morrish considers it imperative to be aware of and up-to-date on the latest technology and orthodontic techniques, therefore continuing education is a large part of his life. To share his passion for education, he has accepted a position as Adjunct Clinical Professor at Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. This position enables Dr. Morrish to share his knowledge with orthodontic student residents teaching and preparing them for their bright future as orthodontists.

Dr. Morrish is a University of Florida alumnus and a diehard gator fan. He and his wife, Vicki, have four children: Jessica (and her husband Aaron), Trey, Andrew and Chris.

Dr. Morrish's education is ongoing; his academic credentials include receiving his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Emory University School of Dentistry prior to completing his orthodontic residency at the University of Florida School of Dentistry. His educational organization involvements include the follow organizations: the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Society, Florida Association of Orthodontists and Manatee Dental Society. In addition, Dr. Morrish is the President of the Florida Damon Study Club.
